I was trying to get away from my father (who is dead for 5 and a half years in real life), and even when i locked the door for shower, he found a way to unlock it. İ remember by the end i was laying on bed surrounded by teddy bears with legs ripped off and İ myself unable to move my legs when mom got out of her shower in her robes came and stroked my hair and whispered "I get you" and i started crying and i woke up.
Dreams often serve as a reflection of our subconscious thoughts, emotions, and experiences, and they can be particularly meaningful when they involve significant figures or themes from our lives.
In your dream, attempting to escape from your deceased father could symbolize unresolved feelings or conflicts related to him or your relationship. Since he has been gone for over five years, it may indicate that you're navigating feelings of grief, loss, or perhaps even guilt or unresolved issues that linger after his death.
The act of locking the door represents your desire for privacy or safety, yet your father’s presence suggests that certain feelings or memories are difficult to escape. This could reflect feelings of being overwhelmed or haunted by aspects of your past, even when you try to create boundaries.
The teddy bears with ripped-off legs symbolize vulnerability and childhood innocence. They might represent feelings of comfort or nostalgia that have been tainted by loss or trauma. Your inability to move your legs may indicate feelings of powerlessness or being stuck in your current emotional state, which can be common when processing grief.
Your mother’s presence and her comforting gesture are significant. She provides a contrasting sense of safety and understanding. Her words, "I get you," suggest that there is a connection and support present in your life, emphasizing the importance of maternal comfort during difficult emotional times. It indicates that, despite the struggles and painful memories associated with your father, you are not alone in your emotions.
Overall, this dream reflects your internal struggle with grief, the complexities of your past, and the support you seek from loved ones as you navigate these feelings. It may be beneficial to explore these emotions more fully, perhaps through journaling, talking with someone you trust, or even seeking professional support, to help process what you are experiencing.
